How To Prepare

Facial Preparation

First Facial
Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first facial appointment to fill out paperwork. Your esthetician will then escort you to the esthetics room - a tranquil atmosphere, with calming music, relaxing scents and soft lighting. Prior to your facial, you and your esthetician will go over your paperwork and address any skincare concerns and needs.

Before & After Your Facial
Tips for how to prepare for your facial and for aftercare:

Do's:

  • Drink plenty of water - keep your skin hydrated!
  • Exfoliation weekly (avoid exfoliating the week of facial to get maximum professional exfoliation).
  • Wear SPF daily and reapply throughout the day.
  • Keep your skin moisturized!
  • Follow esthetician recommendations for a healthy home care skin routine.
  • Wash your skin gently the following day after a facial.
  • Use clean pillow cases and fresh towels.

Don'ts:

  • Sunbathe
  • Visit hot steam saunas or exercise excessively for a couple days.
  • At home chemical peels, retinols, waxing or shaving and laser hair removal.
  • Botox within a week prior to facial and a week after facial.
  • Touch and pick at skin.
  • Apply heavy makeup after facial for at least a couple days.
  • Wash or remove products applied during facial - removing facial products or washing your face after your service can and will take away benefits of professional products used during treatment.

Dermaplaning
Please inquire with our skin therapist via our wellness team by calling or texting 509-940-1888 prior to booking a Dermaplaning service if any of the following contradictions are present:

  • Active acne
  • Sensitive or sunburned skin
  • Eczema on skin or dermatitis/psoriasis/rosacea
  • Blood thinning medication
  • Pregnant
  • History of keloids
  • Recent chemical peels or exfoliating treatment (wait at least 2-4 weeks after microdermabrasion)
  • History of cold sores or has active cold sores

Skin Treatment Preparation

First Pro Power Peel
For first time Pro Power Peel clients, we do require you to visit our Licensed Esthetician for a facial prior to booking a Pro Power Peel treatment. Our Licensed Esthetician will perform a skin analysis as part of your service and discuss if Pro Power Peel treatments are right for you.

At the time of scheduling a Pro Power Peel, please let our booking staff know if you answer YES to any of the following questions (this will determine the best timing of your treatment):

  • Have you received a resurfacing skin procedure such as laser, light therapy, microdermabrasion or chemical peel within the last two weeks?
  • Have you received botox or other injectable within the last week?
  • Have you used Retin-A within the past 48 hours?
  • Have you used Isotretinoin (Accutane) in the past 6 months?
  • Have you received facial waxing within the last 72 hours?
  • Do you currently have a contagious skin disease such as an active cold sore?
  • Are you currently pregnant or lactating?

Instructions for prior to your Pro Power Peel treatment:

  • Increase your water intake at least 48 hours beforehand.
  • Limit/ease your stress.
  • Don't exfoliate for at least 72 hours prior. (A week is recommended)
  • Avoid usage of alcohol/nicotine 24 hours prior.
  • Don't use tanning beds at least 2 weeks prior.
  • Be gentle and kind to your skin.
